Soooo I still haven't finished the last dolls I posted about, I got sidetracked by purchasing an adorable porcelain BJD by the lovely Natasha Yaskova ( http://natashayaskova.blogspot.ca/ ) so I have been making clothes for my new doll. Also, I made Natasha a little faerie as a present, and I decided to try out a new size for it. I was happy with the result so I will be trying more of them. I am working at my new job and on setting myself up a nice little dyeing area and have been having fun coming up with new doll patterns. So I've moved fairly recently and finally have my own sewing room! Unfortunately I do not have a job yet, but I'm working on that part. Not a lot of sewing jobs in this little town, so it'll be a day job but I'm happy with that. I'm currently working away on two sets of dolls; a pair of vine faeries and a trio of cupcake girls. The fairies will likely be completed first, being a tested pattern of mine as well as a smaller size. I've complied some fun  materials for both projects and look forward to them taking shape.

So it's the start of a new year... My holidays were pretty hectic since I got laid off in early December, but we rallied for an awesome holiday season with much dress up, good food, excellent company and red wine. A couple pixies were made, and many little faerie ornaments were created. So now I have a part time job at Dairy Queen and a (amazingly beautiful) vintage sewing machine out on trial. Which I am now quite sure will be mine. I already named her Clementine. I think I'll do a photo shoot sometime soon, since I have a vintage dress exactly the same colour and from around the same era.
